Lars-Henrik Ståhl’s scientific production has mainly been oriented in two different fields, Architectural theory and philosophy, and the role of aesthetics in contemporary society. Ståhl has also been active in the development of practice-based research in the field of architecture and design. Within these fields of interest he has also given courses at PhD-level. Ståhl has supervised, been an opponent to, and examined several PhD projects. Beside articles and contributions to congresses, he is also leader for the practice based research projects Los Angeles Islands: Architectonic Americaness and Placebo: Aesthetic Replacement Strategies in Sustainable Hospital Environments, both financed by VR. He is currently the Head of department of Architecture and Built Environment, LTH/LU.
